Interior
The
interior of the Toyota Highlander has three rows of seats with good outward
visibility no matter where you sit. The Highlander also has helpful technology
that makes it easier to see in the cabin and out the back even if you've loaded
the back with cargo.
The
Highlander has about 16 cubic feet of storage capacity behind the third row of
seats, and it has over 48 cubic feet behind the second row. There are many
small storage spaces throughout the Toyota Highlander that make it easy to

Some
interior features vary by trim level. A keyless ignition and entry system is
standard, and the base model has a power-adjustable driver's seat, along with

time they get into this SUV.
The
Highlander L has standard Amazon Alexa, Android Auto⢠and Apple CarPlay®. It
has an 8-inch touchscreen at the base level as well, and the standard sound
system is a six-speaker audio. A Wi-Fi hotspot is also included. A
height-adjustable power liftgate comes with the second trim level, which is the
LE. The LE also has a leather steering wheel and leather-wrapped gear shift
knob.
The XLE
trim level, which is third in the lineup, adds a sunroof for a brighter cabin.
The front seats are heated on this trim, and the passenger's seat gains
power-adjust, like the driver's seat. While seating for eight is standard, you
can get captain's chairs to seat seven people starting with this model.
Sunshades are also included for second-row occupants. Starting with the XLE you
can also look forward to a larger touchscreen display.
Along with
a sportier exterior, the XSE comes with interior ambient lighting for a more
sophisticated and upscale cabin. An 11-speaker sound system is offered to
Woodbury, NY customers with this model, as well.
The Limited
has a household power outlet along with a heated steering wheel and memory
settings for the driver's seats. The seats are covered with leather upholstery
on this model, and the front seats are ventilated for year-round climate control
on the streets of Middletown.
A panoramic
sunroof comes with the Platinum, and this model also has heated second-row
seats. No matter which trim you choose for your Highlander, though, you can
rest assured that its cabin will be amazing.
Exterior
The Toyota
Highlander has a sophisticated and sporty exterior. LED headlights are
standard. The base model has alloy wheels. Fog lights are standard from the
second trim level onward, and this trim also has a power liftgate with an
adjustable height setting, allowing you to easily unload it around Fishkill.
Heated mirrors are standard with the Highlander.
Roof rails,
which are added to the XLE, give it a sporty look and more storage. The XSE
upgrades to 20-inch wheels, and it also has more chrome exterior accents.
Premium fog lights come with the Limited. Automatic wipers and adaptive
headlights are added to the Platinum.
Performance
The
Highlander is driven by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 295 horsepower in
power and 263 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission is
standard, along with front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is available on any
trim level for New Windsor, NY drivers.
