Engines and performance options in the 2025 4Runner
Every new 2025 Toyota 4Runner will be equipped with a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that delivers 278 horsepower and is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission. You'll have your choice of rear-wheel drive or an available four-wheel drive system that includes a two-speed transfer case with both high and low range as well as Toyota's Active Traction Control system.
The 2025 4Runner will give you several off-road equipment choices including a locking rear differential, disconnecting stabilizer bars and an off-road cruise control system.
